A Word from the Admin...

Horses have helped many people in history as we know it. And we barely give them a good reward!

Well, The Herds of Many Hearts is a roleplay just for these majestic creaetures we love so much.

The Horse Lover's Blog will be updated as much as possible, possibly more during events.

This is going to be a weird question, coming from a Canadian teenager. But...

What are your thoughts on hobbyhorsing? Here's my opinion.

It is

OKAY

. Now, the reason I say this - and everybody has their own thoughts, I know - but if you really think about it.

Most hobbyhorsers are horse lovers. Without a horse. Confession time: I am a hobbyhorser! So I'd know that the reason that I do it is because I don't have a real horse.

To a lot of hobbyhorsers like myself, hobbyhorsing is a matter of feeling like you're riding. Because you don't get to often, if even(I'm lucky enough to know how to ride).

I've been teased by kids younger than me before because of my hobby. I do it all season long, outside or inside. I do it outside a lot because I'm not afraid of being teased.

Not every hobbyhorser has that courage. So, the next time you see an older kid on a hobbyhorse, don't tease them. Instead, put yourself in their shoes. You don't know why they do it. And it's not a crime or bad or anything. Right?

Subject: Competitions

In my opinion, there are two different ways of showing off your horse.

The first one can be very cruel, especially if overused.

Competitions.

Now, when I say competitions, that does not mean showing. At all. But in my mind, showing and competitions are two way different categories.

Please mark that I am not a horse owner. However, I do have a lot of knowledge of horses.

Before you go and say, "Oh wow, this person knows nothing," be aware you are wrong.

I do not own a horse, but I am a rider. Before I make myself sound aggressive over this, let's get going.

Do you know how racing affects horses' lives?

Do you know how many horses die on the track, in one country, every year?

Do you know how many young horses are ruined? By racing?

The answer to that is simple. Hundereds of horses die every year. Racing. 68 horses die every day in Australia. On the track.

How about jumping? Twisted necks? This sport is dangerous for horse and rider.

Are you willing to let this happen?

Are you okay with hundreds of horses dying a year for this sport?

Why can't we just do groundwork? Why can't we just slow down on the racing?

Think about it. Racing or your favourite animal?
